Hostile Work Environment

Laws have been enacted in the United States to protect against race, national origin, age, gender, and disability discrimination. If you believe you have experienced an adverse employment action (termination, unequal wages, lack of promotion, declined employment applications, etc.), laws are in place to help you. If you decide to take action, it is important that you gather together your specific, detailed evidence, because suspicions and feelings are not enough to prove your case in court. You also need to make a formal charge of discrimination with the appropriate state and federal agencies.
An employment situation where a worker is harassed, bullied, threatened, abused physically or verbally, and subjected to racial epithets, sexist comments, and rude remarks about age or sexual preference is illegal. This type of environment usually carries with it claims based upon discrimination. If you experience a hostile work environment, WE are here to help.
