Robert G. Taylor, III (Trey) was born in Dallas, Texas and moved to Houston when he was six years old. Mr. Taylor graduated from St. Thomas High School in Houston in 1983 and attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, graduating in 1987. Returning to Houston, Mr. Taylor then attended South Texas College of Law. In 1990, after graduation, Mr. Taylor was licensed by the State Bar of Texas and sworn in to practice by Honorable Charles Dickerson in November 1990.
Shortly after becoming licensed, Mr. Taylor moved to Galveston, Texas to work with Mr. Michael Guarino, the District Attorney for Galveston County, Texas. During his time as an Assistant District Attorney, Mr. Taylor prosecuted a wide variety of criminal matters while serving as a Misdemeanor Prosecutor, Chief Prosecutor of the Misdemeanor Division and as a Felony Prosecutor. Mr. Taylor left the District Attorney’s Office in May, 1994 to enter private practice. During the next seven years, Mr. Taylor continued work in litigation, handling matters involving personal injury, chemical exposure, asbestos exposure, silica exposure, industrial injury, automobile accidents and limited criminal defense and family law matters.
In 2001, Mr. Taylor moved to Mississippi to work with Mr. Robert A. Pritchard, a personal injury attorney and former Mississippi Circuit Judge. Mr. Taylor took and passed the Mississippi Bar Exam, becoming licensed in Mississippi. During the next seven years, Mr. Taylor worked with cases involving asbestos exposure, silica exposure, products liability, chemical exposure, pharmaceutical defects, burns, automobile and 18 wheeler accidents and other personal injury matters. Mr. Taylor also handled a limited number of criminal defense and family law matters. Tragically, in mid-2006, Mr. Pritchard passed away and Mr. Taylor made the decision to return to Houston.
In January, 2008, Mr. Taylor became “Of Counsel” to the law firm of “Washington & Ernster, LLC”.
Mr. Taylor is a member of both the State Bar of Texas and the Mississippi Bar. Mr. Taylor has been admitted to practice in Texas and Mississippi and the Southern District of Texas, Northern and Southern District of Mississippi, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
